Yesterday, Governor Moore signed an executive order declaring a state of emergency as an actionable step to deliver resources following the loss of SNAP and other economic benefits to Marylanders. We've been in contact with many of our partners who have expressed concerns and potential needs. Below you will find some resources to support that feedback.

211 Maryland: In preparation for the potential impacts of the federal shutdown and changes to federal assistance programs, 211 MD wants to ensure that all Maryland residents have accurate, up-to-date information about available resources. 211 MD serves as the statewide information and referral network for health and human services connecting residents to housing, food assistance, mental health resources, and more. To maintain consistent public messaging, they are centralizing state resources and partner program information on our Maryland Responds page. If your agency or office has current links to information, updates, or public-facing programs that should be included, please send them to marylandresponds@211md.org.

DoorDash: Project DASH - DoorDash launches an emergency food response delivering 1 million free meals through food banks and waiving fees for 300K SNAP recipient grocery stores. For food banks, if you are interested in partnering with Project DASH, contact projectdash@doordash.com.

Maryland Business Emergency Operation Center: is designated to support emergency management coordination efforts between state & local agencies, private sector businesses and nonprofit program partners during disasters and emergencies.
